JEGA INECThe Independent National Electoral Commission in Nigeria has shifted the deadline for the collection of the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs)by two weeks.

Announcing the new PVCs collection deadline on Sunday, the commission said the decision was taken to enable persons that are yet to collect their voter cards collect them at different collection centres across Nigeria.

The initial deadline was March 8, which was set after the electoral body shifted the general elections from February 14 and 28 to March 28 and April 11.

Going by the shift, collections will end on March 22.

Registered voters that have not collected their cards are advised to collect their cards at the centres, as persons without the card will not be allowed to vote.

The electoral body said it had achieved over 78 per cent PVCs distribution across the nation.
