Senator of the Eighth Assembly and now Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has ordered that with immediate effect, all bank accounts operated by the State Government be frozen till further notice.
The order, which is to take effect from January 14th 2020, was contained in a statement released by Chief Cosmas Iwu, Hope Uzodinma’s Campaign Director-General.
The Governor instructed all the banks where Imo State have accounts not to henceforth, honour any financial transaction from Emeka Ihedioha or any member of his administration, as it is now a former administration, having been sacked by the Supreme Court.
According to the statement as directed to all the banks concerned: Following the Supreme Court judgment of 14th January 2020, I am directed by His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma to take this to your authority/instruction to place a Post No Debit (PND) order on all accounts of the Imo State Government maintained in your various institutions.
You are by this letter, directed to comply and await further instructions from the Office of his Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State”.
